Combating Climate Change
Climate change has been going on for years. We need to act now so we can minimize the hazards it poses.
Some argue that the climate crisis can only be solved by making massive changes, which can only be made by the lawmakers who call all the shots – and that individual initiatives are akin to putting out a forest fire one drop at a time.
While small acts of individual consumers will not result in the necessary system change, they will serve as a climate conversation starter, impacting members of the public to delve a little deeper into what the climate crisis means for them – and what they can do about it.
Defending Oceans, Land, and Fresh Water
We are facing two severe crises: climate change and the accelerating loss of biodiversity. To reverse these catastrophes, we must conserve and look after our oceans, land, and fresh water in a sustainable manner.
Ocean habitats such as seagrasses and mangroves, along with their accompanying food webs, may store carbon dioxide from the atmosphere at up to four times the rate of terrestrial forests. Mangroves are extremely helpful in the fight against climate change due to their ability to trap and store carbon.
Tropical rainforests and land are also a key climate solution and without them, our climate goals will be impossible to achieve.
Providing Food, Water, Sustainability
As the world’s population continues to grow, food demand is predicted to rise by more than 50% in the next 30 years.
We help food and water systems to be more sustainability in the face of mounting challenges. We discuss what needs to be done as well as the investment options.
